Winter Boudoir Fun in the Snow
This shoot has everything! A scrumptious red velvet bodysuit? A furry blanket to wrap up in? Big, chunky cozy cardigan with nothing but a lacy bralette under? “Lumberjack-but-make-it-sexy” fit? Yep, that too. And best of all – lots of fluffy, white snow!
Living in Upstate New York, in the heart of the Finger Lakes, you have to learn to love winter since it kind of takes up, oh about 6 months of the year? Yeah that sounds about right. And honestly, I really do love it! The crisp snow floods everything with light, while conveniently covering up all the mud and the brown nothingness of the cold season. Sure, it does present a challenge or two, but all it takes is a brave soul willing to put up with it for a bit and the magic happens. Am I completely and thoroughly bundled up while this brave young lady is frolicking in her undies in the snow? Yes, yes I am. Look, we all have to make sacrifices for the art. If I have to put aside my empathy and shoot mercilessly with my warm gloves on, so be it.
I’ve done plenty of winter wonderland photoshoots in the past, but somehow I had never gotten around to doing an outdoor boudoir snow shoot. Luckily, the opportunity presented itself – we got a massive storm that buried everything, and while everyone was hunkering down at home trying to wait it out with hot cocoa, I jumped on it! Brave Nicole happily agreed to do what it takes and somehow managed to not even look cold doing. What a trooper! So we had our fun on the snowy fields of Treman Park and here is the result of our snowy winter boudoir shoot for you to enjoy. Don’t forget your cup of hot cocoa, though these might heat you up even without it.
