Christie’s portrait photoshoot
When I first saw Christie, I fell in love with her look on the spot – you see, us photographers are easily amused with bright, pretty colors 🙂 I immediately knew I would have some amazing photographs with her and the lovely blooms of the Ithaca Spring were going to be my perfect background. Guess what? I surprised even myself at the turn out, every shot was an instant favorite! And to think, this portrait session was hanging on a thread! Spring has been so fickle this year, with bloom arriving so late, and the constant rain…Just the day before we shot, the weather was promising a 70% chance of rain! Miraculously, it cleared last minute and blessed us with a beautiful afternoon over at the Cornell Plantations.
This fearless young lady is a talented hairdresser and is already running her own salon, Vitality, in Horseheads, NY. She has not just created an inviting space for her and her team’s work, but has opened up her walls to help and support other artist as well and has a rotating gallery display . You can get a hold of her on her website, thatonehairdresser.net.
This time, for a change, prep was handled by Christie’s trusted team. Emily did a beautiful job with the makeup, and you can view more of her work and follow her awesome tutorials on her blog, flowersinemilyshair.blogspot.com. Justina gave us a great hairstyle perfectly fitting with our photoshoot, and you can find her over at Vitality as well. They were such an awesome team I had to get a couple of shots of the whole gang too 🙂
